Silikon Extrusion

With the help of extrusion, profiles with complex cross sections and any length can be produced.

In the extrusion process, HTV solid silicone rubbers are continously squeezed out of a shaping aperture (also called calibration, nozzle, matrix or mouthpiece) under pressure. The shaped mass is called extrudate and usually hardens when exiting the opening of the tool by cooling down or by chemical reactions.
